Shooting Fully Automatic Legally

As many of you know I am an avid shooter who enjoys going to the range to sling some lead down range, and i have always wanted to shoot a machine gun. This however presents a problem if you don't have a Federal Fire-Arm License (FFL) and or a lot of money. Simply put it is pretty hard to get a FFL and would be very expensive even if you did obtain one because most machine guns capable of full auto fire are thousands of dollars to buy and require tax stamps usually a couple hundred dollars. This would be the legal way to obtain and shoot a machine gun, obviously the illegal way is out of the question for me and most people, as we want to be law abiding citizens and violations of gun laws are usually pretty stiff

So down to business how do I shoot a gun full auto legally and the best answer to this is bump firing or a trigger activator. Both are good ways to do this however I have found that bump firing is the closest thing to shooting full auto you can get. Trigger activators use a crank on your trigger guard to simulate a gatling gun and usually fire 4 rounds for every rotation and because its hand operated its legal, but the downside to these is its awkward and fumble some and looks like crap on your nice shiny gun, the good thing about trigger activators is that they are more accurate than simply bump firing.

Next what is bump firing

Bump firingis the act of using the recoil of a firearm to fire multiple shots in rapid succession. This process involves holding the fore grip with the non-trigger hand, releasing the grip on the firing hand (leaving the trigger finger in its normal position), pushing the rifle forward in order to apply pressure on the trigger finger from the trigger, and keeping the trigger finger stationary. The firearm will recoil and then return to its previous position after the round has been fired first resetting and then pressing forward against the trigger thereby firing successive shots.

Pistols that are semi-automatic can also be bump fired with the use of a bump stick which I will show in the videos that I have below.

Word of caution some sources say that bump firing can damage your gun so use some common sense, i have shot hundred of rounds using this method and no problems yet however i do not do it till my gun catches on fire like some people on YouTube have done. Remember when handling firearms always use good gun safety and common sense. Below are some good videos on bump firing, be safe and enjoy.
