BANK OF AMERICA IS EVIL
79Bank of America is a joke
Hi, my name is Joe and like many people today I am unemployed due to a lay off, i was making my living working for a service company in the oil field/natural gas. Anyway the reason I started this blog is to describe my experience with Bank of America and to see if anybody else was experiencing the same thing. First of all my mortgage company is Bank of America and I am very displeased with them and will be looking for another mortgage company as soon as I find another job. Second I will give you some background info about me, I am 27 years old and have been living in my home for 5 years and never been late on a payment until now. I called them a couple of days after I got layed off to tell them what happened (boy was that a mistake) I figured since the goverment bailed them out and made some incentives for mortgage companies to make plans to help people in this troubled economy that there might be something that I could qualify for. The first thing I encountered was after waiting about 45 minutes was speaking with someone who could barely speak English and understand what I was saying, to make it worse it was mutual i could barely understand him, kind of akward. Fumbling through this we eventually got past this and I applied for the home affordability program, and long story short I got denied because my expeditures including my mortgage exeeded my new income, (unemployment) and they said in a frank way that it was not worth it to them to modify my loan, they would rather foreclose. Their response shocked me because the expenditures vs income was a couple hundred dollars not thousands and i had never been late on a payment I figured that should count for something. Im not going to get into politics but who is this home affordability program supposed to help, not me not you just giant mortgage companies with their filthy hands out. This is the best part though after being only 28 days late on my motgage they send me a letter that says intent to accelerate foreclosure (what the hell man). My father in law owns his own buisness and in the winter he sometimes gets really slow and has been behind almost 3 months before he started getting anything like this. I think what Bank of America is doing is unethical and wrong, im not even sure its legal. I feel like they are kicking me while im down instead of helping me. One of my buddies that got laid off said his bank let him skip 2 payments and put them on the backside of his loan, so if other banks do this why dosent the bank that got the biggest bailout do it. So in closing I want to know if anybody else has had these issues withe the Bank of America or is it just poor old Joe, and to Bank of America kiss my ass you greedy sons of bitches.

I am in the same boat, only I got a job a month later, a better job even and am only one month behind. I asked them to tack that one month onto the backend of my loan, but they will not do it. To add insult to injury I'm accruing penalties. This after being one month ahead on my mortgage since the beginning. This is just one more reason why I believe they should have all been let to fail.
I am in the middle of the shortsale process with boa. They are truly evil. The buyer is trying to qualify for the first time homebuyer credit, so today my lawyer is in negotiations with the bank. I am so frustrated and I paid for a lawyer! I lost my job 6 months ago and am now 1 month behind because otherwise they wouldn't approve a shortsale if you are not delinqt. I am living with family out of state to look for new work in a better economy. My house is not worth what I owe. The offer is over 10k more than houses in the area with more bedrooms/garages. It is truly ridiculous! This is all after the acts that are supposed to make the process more transparent! Bank of America is truly evil.
The SOB's at Bank of America can Kiss my Ass! I requested a deed in lieu back in January, and they said I had to do this and that first. (which I did: i.e. see a HUD certified counsellor, list my home for 90 days, send in a financial statement, fax them a hardship letter.) Every time I call them it is impossible to get to the right department. They keep sending me to the Making Homes Affordable department or home retnetion department, or short sale department. How the hell can you short sale your home when there is no buyer?
But anyway, after leaving tons of voice mails to them and hearing nothing back from them, I get a letter from their lawyer today, along with another letter.... from B of A. I called them and actually got someone with a pulse, who informed me my house has been in foreclosure since April 6th! WTF Man! This is news to me. They can't bother notifying ME what is going on, but they can take the time to contact their lawyer. Greedy SOBs!!!
Northeastern Ohio Here. We have been with Countrywide mortgage since 2000. I was not a subprime borrower. Back then we heard good things about countrywide and had been satisfied with their services.
I have not ever been late on a mortgage payment (or even rent for the 10 years prior to that) I was laid off due to the poor economy in August 2010. We managed to make our mortgage payments on time. I called Bank of America to inquire about their "obama loan modification program" I was told they cannot help me because I am not late on payments and that I would need to be over 30days late. All I wanted was a lower interest rate.
Against my better judgement I let my mortgage fall behind 30days, Bank of America immediately started calling me from India asking when I will be making the payment. I told them I was told by them to go over 30days. They told me they could not help unless I was 60 days late... That concerned me so I immediately paid my mortgage up to date.
My unemployment ended June 08 2010. I recieved my Ohio 20 weeks and the ohio extended 26 weeks. Since it exhausted one week after the federal deadline of May28 2010 I do not qualify for the federal extended benefits. ( thank you senate... but I digress )
as of July 16th I am two months behind on my Bank of America mortgage. They will not help because my loan is FHA. I am a 5 year Navy veteran, Have not missed a payment on anything for the past 8 years. except this recent mortgage. last week I received a "Notice of Intent to Accelerate from Bank of America"
Bank of America is pure evil. Our Government has failed us. The president is clueless and our senators and congress are an absolute joke. I have no confidence in our judicial system at all.
I did find a job last week. Used to make $45k a year. I know make $11.00 an hour to feed my 3 kids...
I am forgotten in Ohio..... I dare boa to knock on my door.
i went with wells fargo-after 7 months of trial months they sent me a bill for 18,000 and said i was denied,i havent made a payment in 4 months and they havent called me i dont know why.forgive for the spelling.
I hear ya, I've been burn cell phone minute to get to the right people, one person in the foreclosure dept says your house is on the auction block. Ya Im unemployed, have been sense Mar 09. And that is nothing they can do because they denied my modification. But they never sent a letter via FedEx stating that. So I called HOPE and got through to Making Homes Affordable and they say that there hasn't been decision, that it look like someone miss marked my account. The rep took my phone number and said she call me when she hear from the negoiator. But I think I'll have to do the leg work.
BAC is in bed with the government. Take our tax dollars of which they didn't need. And then screw us.
Just an update. I will try to make this as short as possible. I was without income June and July this year due to the US Senates inability to extend unemployment benefits to desperate US taxpayers. (see above post).
I asked BoA for some kind of help in May knowing that this might happen. BoA in the past told me that FHA loans needed to be 30days behind. In June I was told I needed to be 60days behind. Then in August 90Days behind. I am currently 60days behind and started making my payment again in August.
I applied for the third time for a loan modification/interest rate reduction in mid August. Again I was told by BoA that my application was not complete. (absolutely false as I have copies of everything I sent) This is an all too common trick BoA uses over and over. My modification was declined stating I did not qualify because my loan is FHA. A BoA customer service rep stated after taking 20minutes to read through my file over the phone, that an FHA loan needed to be 120days late!
I have an autoloan through Honda of America. Yes I would rather own a made in America by Americans Honda than a made in Mexico by Mexicans Ford. I am also a five year Navy veteran with an honorable discharge. I called Honda when this was going on and said I might have a problem with my payment. The customer service rep instantly said that they appreciated my business and the troubles I was having. She took my information and said she would get back with me in a day or two. This was on a Saturday. Monday morning I recieved a phonecall from the same service rep saying Honda of America was going to help. Deferred TWO payments to the end of my loan without any penalities or extra interest. She said Honda of America appreciated my business very much and was glad to help. Now I have only been with Honda for the past two years at 2%interest. I was astounded. To say the least.
I have been with countrywide/BankofAmerica for the past 12years. Never late ever. And they could not even help me. My interest rate is even a ridiculous 8.375% which was a great rate in 2000. I did not fall into the refinance trap of the past several years telling me to take out equity in my house for a vacation blah blah.
Bank of America is pure corporate greed and evil. They have proven to me over and over that they are no more than common thieves and liars, from their CEO to their so less than common customer service reps.
Anyone who banks with them by their own choice is an absolute fool.
I have a mortgage with B of A only because they took over Countrywide. I am currently one payment behind and even though I'm in the loan mod program, they say the can't help me. All they have to do is lower my interest, reamortize it over 40 years and we'd be done. It ain't rocket science!
I just brought a check into one of Bank of America's dirty branches and, even though the check was drawn on BoA, those filthy confederate parasites wanted to charge me a $6.00 fee for cashing it.
I told the dirty confederate whore behind the counter to fuck off and walked out.
I then took the check to a small local bank opened an account there.
If you're sick and tired of your hard earned money going to dirty racists in the sewer south do business with your local banks instead of parasitic confederate behemoths like Bank of the America.
They should really call it Bank of the Filthy Confederacy.
Doing your banking with BoA is like giving a tip to the guy who just mugged you.
Even their dirty CEO, Brian Moynihan who is a known racist, sexist, homophobic and KKK apologist, knows Bank of America is circling the drain.
This is why, in the past two years alone, Moynihan and the other dirty confederates on BoA's board have created over 150 knew fees and charges to bilk their sap customers for every last penny they can.
They aren't creating new customers, the news is out about their dirty practices,so they have to soak their existing customers while they can.
BoA is doomed!
Ken Lewis saw the writing on the wall which is why he cut-and-ran.
This Moynihan racist has to do all he can to soak as much as he can for as long as he can.
People are doing a run on this bank by walking away from their house. B of A is a corporation. The only thing they are concerned about is PROFIT. As a corporation they will only due what is in the best interest for BofA period. Reason, morals, compassion don't help their bottom line. Greed is what got us into this mess and its not going to get us out of it. BoA will never get it until it's too late. It would be interesting if it were not so sad to see how this is going to play out. Does BoA even realize unless they are part of the solution they too will eventually cease to exist. Money truly is the root of all evil.
Don't be so sure your buddy got off good on those two payments. That's a common trick the mortgage companies like to play, where they allow or even encourage a customer to skip two payments, usually to fast track them into a loan modification. What happens, instead, is that the bank then quickly forecloses on the property.
Bank of America took our home. My husband lost some of his income when the economy went bad. We asked the bank for a loan modification. They couldn't help us until we missed 3 payments. We had never missed a payment at that point. We missed the three payments like they asked. This was supposed to qualify us for a prgram which would help us save our home. They had us send in paper work. Our home went into foreclosure during the process and they gave us the notice on Christmas Eve.We didn't hear from them and after another month they said they never got our paper work. We sent it in again. We called each day to see if everything was fine. They said everything was on track. Then a week before we were supposed to be out of our home we got a letter which said we did not qualify because they did not get the paper work. We have other friends they used the same excuse with. Come to find out they would rather have the home back. The government gives them a kickback on foreclosures. I agree. Bank of America is evil!
Wow this is totally different than the other page I read on boa. Thanks for the heads up I was just about to open an acct and we are also looking to buy a home in the next year.My husband is black also I have many mexican and other minority friends and I certainly would hate to support racism although I am a white southern. Thanks because I was clueless about their practices.
I have had a horrible experience with BOA trying to take my house by way of the making home affordable program etc. and now I am dealing with them and their BS charges for making payments to them. I get charged $6 to make a mortgage payment to them online, I get charged over $60 if I mail a payment in using their statements which come 2 weeks late, and I get charged $20 if I make a payment over the phone. However, I should say that while I could use the mail-in method, they don't send me a monthly statement until 2 weeks past the due date to ensure late charges. When I called the company I was told that "that is just how the company does it". Interesting, I still think that enough people get ticked off enough and refuse to abide by their unconstitutional practices they will fall...........we just need strength in numbers!!!!!!!
i used to work for bank of America in San Jose Costa Rica
yes guys this satanists have corporate branches here in san jose costa rica! Here they are slavering employees , they are paying low salaries , making employees work up to 10 hour shifts , without no lunck break at all ! these company is evil is doing wrong and immoral things here in san jose costa rica , i hope they burn in hell !
Bank of America logo is the ugliest logo ever!
Despite the fact that I paid thousands of additional dollars to the principal of my mortgage, BOA began to send foreclosure letter to my home. They sent their retention dogs to harass me non-stop. After weeks of monotonous explanations, I finally corrected their error. I began sending letters to the Office of the CEO and President, but they achieved nothing. I was ping ponged around from one representative to another. I can offically say that BOA is the worst financial institution on the planet.
"A little bit of information is dangerous."
Let's get the facts straight:
Between October 28, 2008 and January 16, 2009, Bank of America received $45 Billion from the US Treasury.
December 9, 2009, the $45 Billion was fully paid back.
By March 3, 2010, Bank of America had fully paid an additional $4,571,516,269 ($4.5 Billion) in interest/fees to the US Treasury and/or the US tax payer.
These are the irrefutable facts. The taxpayer made in excess of a 10% return on their investment into Bank of America.
Banks provide an valuable service in our world. They facilitate the saving and loaning of money. Some demand "Shut down Wall Street!", "Shut down the banks!" Not sure they even know what they are demanding. If you shut down Wall Street, you strip individuals/businesses of the ability to borrow money.
You want to go to college, but don;t have $160,000 in your bank account? Too bad, you cannot take out a student loan. You have to wait until you are 40 years old and can pay for it up front. US Colleges would be filled with 40 year olds. Want to buy a house and stop renting? Got $300,000 under the mattress?? Tough luck! No borrowing! You have to save until you have the full amount to purchase in cash.
No one forced any of you to buy a home, nor to take out a mortgage. Bottom line: If you all kept paying your mortgage, none of the foreclosures would ever have occurred. To blame others for YOUR inability and short comings is immature, selfish, ignorant, and plane foolish.
Also, you all would do the same if you were in BOA's shoes. They lent you money to purchase a home. You have stopped paying them back. They used the home as collateral, and therefore have every right to take the home back. Fair and square. If you were not willing to suffer the consequences had this happened, you should have remained home with your mothers, and never struck out on your own.
Stop giving value-adding, job-creating businesses (BOA or any other) a bad name simply because you were foreclosed on.
not be told to send almost $10,000 in a two month period.
Bottom line they jacked us around with documents missing, need updated 2010 taxes, lol, needed another of copy of 4506T form to "Mrs. Hummel we got your documents and they are in review" when I still had a week and a half to get them to her. End of story to stop them from selling our house, we filed bankruptcy. We will lose our house and have already put a a first and last payment plus deposit on a rental in this residential housing community which a few blocks down. There is nothing you can do unless you get a classaction going. I looked for anyone who was filing a classaction lawsuit against them but only in 2010 was their last one. The individual homeowners do not receive that much compensation in a classaction against them anyways. We couldn't afford to file suit against them as they have tons of attorneys, I am sure, that would only waste any monies we had left. They are heartless, dishonest and have no regard for any one individual. They keep it going and every once in a while you get a letter saying if we have $27,000 and the next $34,000 we can bring your loan current. They drag the modification along for a year or so so that your are heavily indebted in arrears and no modification in sight. End of a sad story. I wonder if carma will ever catch up with them.
According to BOA (bank of assholes). Only 7% of people who apply for a loan modification..get one! Then Wtf did I waste almost 4 yrs. Applying for something I was never going to get?? Odds were against me! Bank of America can suck my ass!
First of all I would like to say that I feel for anyone who has been experiencing difficulty. I also have suffered a job loss; I was a teacher and got laid off in my county along with 150 teachers because we have masters degrees. I just learned about BoA program at bankofamerica.com/homeownerevent. I went in to their recent event and they handled my modification in 1 day which was approved by them and now awaiting fha approval which will be in the next few days. They hold these events in states around the country if I were you I would fly or drive or walk whatever you have to do to get there. I hope this helps. God bless...
Casio I bet your a boa Rep. Joe you should hear my story. I bought my house in feb of 08. I have a fha loan witch is protected buy the government basicly if I can't pay -the government and the taxpayers will pick up the tab.plus every bank puts an insurance on the loan. My loan was for55000 or so with intrest it was more like 200000. So when they forclosure their getting the governments money plus the insurance plus whatt ever they resale the house for plus say you were paying intrest and princible for 10 years say you were paying 350 you already dished out 42000 bucks so you basiclly almost paid the amount you barrowed so 42000+insurance200000+government(rest of loan)158000+what every bank resales the home for(say)30000= a wopping 422000. On a 55000 dollar loan if that fair now to my boa story next of my post
OK I bought my home in Feb 2008 with my brother.it was countrywide at the time. Orginally with my twin brother who had the same job as me but die a month before closing. So I h ad to do it with my younger brother who made more then half less then I so together we made about 2800 a month give or take some. I have a fha loan to qualify your debt to income ratio has to be lower then .43 if not can't qualify. I receny found out this information so I did the math and my brother and I fell at .52 se shouldn't of qualified. But I was the one paying hebhad no part I had no problem paying I was actually paying early. My payment were due on the 1st late one the 16th I. Got my bill march 15th I quickly paid in a couple of days say it was the 21st 10 days before its actually due. 5 days or so later I get my next bill due on april 1st late on the 16th. I thought to myself shouldn't it be sent to me the same time every month but thought nothing of it. So a couple days after I get the second bill I pay the amont again and its before even the first bill was late so say the 3rd I sent it out 5 days or so I get the new bill for may already and it wasny even april so a couple of days later I paid again so before the first bill was late I already paid 3 payments now I realized now I it should of took month off the end of my payment it didn't odd so acouple of month later say bout wmay I was already bout3 payments ahead this is where it gets good. I'm so far ahead I rsend the next payment out weeks go by no new bill a month goes by. I get the bill and the payment wasnt received I call up they said it went to there other office and was a dead payment they advisedbme to call the money order and get the money transfer back to me to send it back to them so waiting for the money order company to send it back 15 days go by so I. Get so now by there standards I'm 1.5 months behind. Ill continue in my next post

Thanks for writing this. Bank of America has got to see that people are aware of what they're doing. I have heard that several banks will add the payments to the end or work with you on payments. We did that with Washington Mutual once after a layoff. The banks should be trying to avoid foreclosures, too. Thanks for sharing with us. - Carol
